Privacy Policy

Stoppe helps you use Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat without their short-video feeds. This policy explains what information the app and this website handle, and what we never do. In short: your social media passwords and messages stay between you and those services, and we don't sell anything about you.
Who we are

Your social media accounts
- You log in on the official login page of each service, shown inside the app with its real address. Your username and password are sent directly to that service. We never see, receive or store your passwords.
- After you log in, the session cookies that keep you signed in are stored only on your device. We don't have access to them.
- Your feed, messages, photos and contacts are loaded directly from each service onto your device. We don't collect, read, copy or upload them.
- To hide short-video sections, the app changes how those pages are displayed on your device. This happens locally.
Screen Time
On iPhone, Stoppe uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls) to lock the apps you choose. Apple doesn't share with us which apps you have or how you use them; the selection stays on your device.
What we do process
- Subscriptions. Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive the status of your subscription (for example, trial, active or cancelled) and an anonymous purchase identifier, through our subscription provider RevenueCat, so the app knows which features to unlock. We never receive your card details.
- Email (optional). If you give us your email address, we use it to send you account messages, such as a reminder before your free trial ends. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
- App statistics. Figures such as "time saved" are calculated and stored on your device. We may collect anonymous, aggregated technical data (for example, crash reports and app version) to fix bugs. It isn't linked to your identity or to your social media accounts.
- Support. If you email us, we keep the conversation to help you and delete it on request.
- Website. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
What we never do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data.
- We don't use your data for advertising or build advertising profiles.
- We don't access your social media messages, contacts or content.
Sharing
We only share data with the providers that help us run Stoppe (Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Cloudflare and our email provider), under their own privacy and security obligations, or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Data stored on your device is deleted when you log out or delete the app. Subscription records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes. To request access to or deletion of any data we hold about you, email hello@stoppe.app and we'll reply within 30 days.
Children
Stoppe is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU or the UAE Personal Data Protection Law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
